Angel investors are the primary funders of new technology-based startups, annually investing around $30 billion in 50,000 deals across the country.
In an effort to help startup creation and funding in the Greater Washington area, we invite people interested in becoming angel investors to join us for a workshop on angel investing.
This is a great networking opportunity to meet other area leaders interested in making the Greater Washington region a premier technology center that commercializes the area's break-through university and federal lab technologies via new startup creation and funding.
Angel investing is ideal for successful entrepreneurs and corporate executives who have an interest in being involved with high-growth early-stage companies in the area.
The workshop will be led by active angel investors, serial entrepreneurs, regional venture capitalists, and private equity experts.
The mini-workshop will cover:
How to structure the investment deal
Due diligence
Managing dilution
Knowing your exit strategy
The registration fee
for the workshop is $450, but members and guests of our Liaisons
are offered complimentary registration. Please contact the Liaison groups directly (listed on the homepage) if you want to receive free registration as one of their members or guests.
Please RSVP by March 15, 2007 by sending an email to Tony (at) aiogw.org
